Smart Calendar

Everything your day needs.

Free · Android 8.0 or later

Smart Calendar keeps events, reminders, to-dos, notes and birthdays together in one fast app. There is no account to make and no server to send it to, so your day stays on your phone.

Reminders & alarms

Alarms that really ring.

Give an event as many notifications as you like, each a quiet nudge or a full alarm. They survive a restart and ring on the minute, even when the app is closed. When a meeting has a link, you can join straight from the alarm.

Repeats

Every second Tuesday. Done.

Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly or a custom rule. Change just one occurrence and the rest stay put.

Notifications

As many as you want.

Ring like an alarm, or arrive as a notification.

Snooze

Snooze for exactly as long as it says.

Tonight, tomorrow morning, next week, or a number of minutes. Repeating reminders keep coming back every time.

Quick add

Type it the way you’d say it.

Write “Lunch with Alex at 1pm for 45m” and Smart Calendar works out the what, the when and the how long, then saves it on the right day.

Typing “Lunch with Alex at 1pm for 45m” saves Lunch with Alex today at 1:00 PM for 45 minutes.

Meetings

A link becomes a button.

Paste a Meet, Zoom or Maps link and a Join button appears on the event and on its alarm. It shows where it goes before you tap.

  • Share any event as a calendar file anyone can open.
  • Open one you’re sent and add it in a tap.

A Google Meet link becomes a Join meeting button that says it goes to meet.google.com.

Smart Schedule

Free time, found for you.

Say what it’s for and how long it takes. Smart Schedule looks at your day and offers free times that fit around your events and reminders. One tap and the reminder is set.

Smart Schedule offers free times today and tomorrow and sets a reminder for tomorrow at 1:00 PM.

Voice assistant

Just say “Hey Smart.”

Ask for a reminder, a to-do or what’s next, and it’s done. Speech is understood on your phone, offline, and it is never recorded.

“Remind me to call Alex at 5”

ReminderCall AlexToday, 5:00 PM

Off until you turn it on. Hands-free listening is optional. The speech model downloads once.

To-dos, habits & focus

Get it done. Watch it add up.

Focus timer

Focus, built in.

Work in sessions with short and long breaks. Skipped sessions don’t count as finished ones.

Insights

See what you finished.

Completion rate, your busiest hours and habit streaks, explained in plain words.

To-dos

Tick it off.

To-dos with due times and subtasks, a reminder that rings, and a list that stays tidy.

Habits

Daily, weekly, or 3× a week.

Build a routine and watch the streak grow. It holds across daylight saving, too.

Birthdays

Never miss a birthday.

Birthdays from your contacts, on the right day, with the message already written. Add the missing ones in seconds. Your contacts are never changed.

Notes

Notes with a mood.

Put a note on any day. Give it a colour and a mood, pin it, sketch on it, or set a reminder. A heatmap shows how your month felt.

Google Calendar

Both ways. Your choice.

Your existing calendar just appears: holidays, birthdays, meetings. Copy your own events out so they reach your other devices. Two separate switches, both off until you turn them on.

Two switches: show my Google Calendar events, and copy my events to Google Calendar.

Morning brief

Your day in one line, every morning.

How many events, reminders and to-dos the day holds, and when the first one starts. On an empty day it stays quiet.

Questions? Answers.

Does it work with Google Calendar?

Yes. Smart Calendar can show the events already in your phone’s calendar, including Google and Samsung calendars, and can copy its own events into one of them. Each direction has its own switch, and both are off until you turn them on.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No account, ever. Your events, reminders, to-dos and notes work fully offline. The internet is used only for optional features: weather, importing public holidays, and a one-time download of the voice model.

Does “Hey Smart” listen all the time?

Only if you turn on hands-free listening. Voice features are off by default. When they’re on, speech is understood on your phone and the audio is never recorded or sent anywhere.

Will my reminders ring if the app is closed?

Yes. Reminders and alarms are scheduled with Android’s exact alarms, so they ring on time after a restart and when the app is closed. On some phones you may also need to allow the app to run in the background.

How do I move my data to a new phone?

Use Backup in Settings to save everything to a file you keep, then restore that file on the new phone. You can also export events as an .ics file.

Is it free?

Yes. Smart Calendar is free on Google Play, with no ads and no in-app purchases. It runs on Android 8.0 or later.
